Meet The Team

Originally from Mount Holly, North Carolina, Trey Rankin came to Auburn as a student and quickly found a community that would become home.
While attending Auburn University, he began his
real estate career, earning his Alabama real estate license in 1993.

Trey brings more than three decades of experience in real estate sales, property management, association management, and real estate investment to EverOak Real Estate Group. Prior to founding EverOak, he spent more than 30 years with a large, locally owned real estate company, where his responsibilities grew to encompass multiple areas of the business.

His experience includes oversight of a property management portfolio of more than 500 properties comprising over 3,000 units, leadership of an HOA and condominium association management division serving more than 40 communities, and development of a short-term rental management division that grew to more than 40 properties. Trey has also represented hundreds of buyers and sellers across nearly every segment of the Auburn–Opelika real estate market.

Michelle Smith is a Montgomery, Alabama native who has proudly called the Auburn area home for more than two decades. A 2005 graduate of Auburn University, she earned a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. While at Auburn, Michelle served as Public Relations Committee Head and President of Tau Beta Sigma and was a proud four-year member of the Auburn University Marching Band Flag Corps.

Michelle began her real estate career in 2008 and quickly advanced from Leasing Agent to Leasing Manager. She earned her Alabama real estate license in 2014 while overseeing property management operations and expanded her career into residential sales. Twice nominated for the Lee County Association of REALTORS® Rookie of the Year Award; she has also served the association as Community Service Committee Chair, Awards Committee Chair, and a member of its Board of Directors. In 2019, Michelle earned her Alabama broker license and became an Associate Broker.

With nearly two decades of experience, Michelle has managed long-term and short-term rentals, condominium and homeowner associations, and residential sales. As a principal of EverOak Real Estate Group, she brings practical expertise, compassionate leadership, and a personal approach to every relationship. Her goal is to ensure owners, residents, buyers, and sellers feel informed, valued, and genuinely cared for.

A lifelong Auburn fan, Michelle enjoys cheering on the Tigers—especially inside Jordan-Hare Stadium—and creating meaningful gatherings for the people she loves. Guided by her faith and the values of the Auburn Creed, she believes in hard work, mutual helpfulness, and the human touch. These principles shape the way she leads, serves, and builds lasting relationships throughout the Auburn community.
