Trey Rankin
Originally from Mount Holly, North Carolina, Trey Rankin came to Auburn as a student and quickly found a community that would become home. While attending Auburn University, he began building his career in real estate, earning his Alabama real estate license in 1993.
Trey brings more than three decades of experience in real estate sales, property management, association management, and real estate investment to EverOak Real Estate Group. Throughout his career, he has developed an extensive understanding of the Auburn–Opelika market while building lasting relationships with property owners, investors, residents, and fellow real estate professionals throughout the community.
Prior to founding EverOak, Trey spent more than 30 years with a large, locally owned real estate company, where his responsibilities grew to encompass multiple areas of the business. His property management experience included direct management and oversight of a team responsible for more than 500 properties comprising over 3,000 units, ranging from single-family homes and individual condominiums to large student-housing communities with hundreds of beds.
Trey also led the company's HOA and condominium association management division, overseeing a portfolio of more than 40 associations ranging from eight-unit condominium communities to 500-lot subdivisions. His experience extended beyond day-to-day management; he was directly involved in establishing and organizing many associations beginning in the development phase and continuing through ongoing operations.
Recognizing the growing demand for professionally managed short-term rentals in the Auburn market, Trey also developed a short-term rental management division that grew to more than 40 properties, ranging from studio condominiums to six-bedroom luxury homes.
In addition to his extensive management experience, Trey has represented hundreds of buyers and sellers across nearly every segment of the local real estate market. His sales experience includes single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, duplexes, multifamily and student-housing developments, commercial properties, residential lots, and large tracts of land.
That combination of sales, management, and investment experience gives Trey a perspective that extends beyond the transaction. He understands not only how to help clients buy and sell real estate, but also how thoughtful management, strategic planning, and sound decision-making can protect and enhance a property's value over time.
Trey and his wife, Tabatha, are proud to call Auburn home. Tabatha owns a successful interior design firm and has worked with many of Trey's clients over the years. They have two sons, Carson and Hamilton, both Auburn University graduates. Carson lives in Birmingham, and Hamilton lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Rankin family are avid Auburn Tigers and enjoy traveling together, exploring history and different cultures, skiing, scuba diving, and spending time at Lake Martin.
